Milea has come from Jakarta. The streets are unfamiliar; so is the boy who approaches her on the way to school, talking as though he can predict their next meeting.
His name is Dilan. Before long, even an ordinary morning has something of him in it.

At school, Dilan’s reputation arrives before he does. Outside the gate, his motorcycle waits among the voices of the angkot drivers. He has a joke ready, or a note, or an excuse to linger a little longer. His tenderness is real; so are the fights that make Milea hesitate.
Beni is still in Jakarta. Nothing between Milea and Dilan has been settled. A borrowed notebook must be returned, a helmet can be left on the seat, and a question can wait until tomorrow. The evening has room for an answer, but it cannot choose one for her.
